A Romantic Long Weekend Escape
Based on the huge popularity of our other weekend escapes, we have created a special romantic escape to Guatemala. Do you have an anniversary coming up? Are you looking for a unique place to propose marriage? Do you and your significant other want to get away from it all for an incredibly memorable long weekend to visit some fascinating places without sacrificing any luxuries? We have just the trip for you. Due to ease of accessibility from several major U.S. airports we have crafted this fascinating tour. Antigua is one of Latin America’s most romantic and beautiful colonial cities where you will delight in strolling the historic cobbled streets through elegant, shaded plazas, colonial churches and grand mansions that have stood the test of time. It is also home to the most unique, stylish boutique hotels and most romantic fine dining restaurants in the county. The surrounding countryside and scenery is some of the most spectacular in the world. A day trip to nearby Lake Atitlán is a must. One of the most enchanting, visually stunning highland lakes in the world, its astonishing beauty of impossibly blue water framed by three conical volcanoes is truly a sight to behold. Local Mayan villages where people still dress in traditional technicolor textiles and a neighboring nature park where you can follow forested nature trails filled with butterflies to a spectacular waterfall add to the allure of this lovely region.
