Postcards from… Guatemala

Guatemala is one of the most culturally rich countries in the world.  Its towns and villages are a riot of color, full of indigenous people wearing their traditional hand woven clothing.

While visiting the delightfully named highland market town of Chichicastenengo, my curiosity drew me to a nondescript building crowded with people pushing their way in and out of a narrow doorway.  Once inside, I climbed a staircase to the second floor balcony and was blown away with this incredibly colorful scene of the town’s indoor vegetable market.
